Garden Asparagus

Garden Asparagus is a herbaceous perennial tree. Its young shoots are very tasty to eat. Its green stems are of 3-10 feet tall. Its green slender branches looks like leaves. Some plants of Garden Asparagus is male and some plants are female. The color of its fruit which is also called berries is round bright red and it is produced on the female Garden Asparagus. Berries are full of seeds which are of black color.

The tree of Garden Asparagus can be found throughout india but it is mainly produced in Northern India. It is cultivated in Jungles which should on high altitude. It is propagated through seeds and it requires water specially when it is young. It is planted in spring season and its shoots come out in next spring. Its fruit ripe in September to October.

Medicinal Uses:
1. The fruit of it is used in the treatment of the rheumatism and edema due to heart failure.
2. It is good to take its juice for curing the diuretic and laxative.
3. It consists folic acid which is beneficial for the prevention of liver diseases.
4. Its fruit consists potassium which is good for muscle recovery and prevents cramping.
5. It is full of B6 Thiamin, Vitamin C, and fiber.
6. Its juice is good for Cancer disease. It acts as cancer fighter.
7. The roots of Garden Asparagus is good for diarrhea and dysentery.
