Medicinal Uses of Brahmi

Brahmi belongs to shrub. It is a small creeping herb which has many branches. It grows upto 4 feet and its branches are spread all over the earth to get support. Its leaves are oval shaped and upto 3-8 mm thick. Leaves are in the form of Pair. It has all the branches in the earth to get support. Branhmi is mostly found in the place where there is streams or ponds. It means it grows well where there is existence of more water. It is mostly found in `Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka.

Medicinal Uses:
1. It is used in the treatment of chronic cough, Asthma etc.2. It is good for the constipation.3. It stops falling of hair.4. It is used to treat skin problems like eczema, alceration etc.5. It is used for the treatment of cancer also.6. It helps to remove stress and anxiety.7. It reduces the oxidation of fat in the blood stream.

Other Uses:
1. It is rich source of vitamin C so it is used in sandwiches, soups and salad.2. Bramhi oil is good for hair and memory.
