Teak Tree

Teak Tree is a tall and evergreen tree. Its height is up to 40 meter. Its leaf is broad and in the shape of leaf of the tobacco. The teak tree is planted in all over the India. It requires very less water to grow. Generally, it is propagated through seeds. But, it can be propagated through cuttings as well. It requires moisture and loamy soil to grow well. The flowers start to appear in the month of February and March. Teak Tree holds many medicinal values. Some of the important uses of it are as below:

Medicinal Uses:

1. Its bark is used to make bitter tonic which is very useful in the treatment of fever.
2. It is very good in the treatment of stomach related problems and headache.
3. The wood or bark of the teak tree is very useful to enhance the digestion.

Other Uses:

1. Its hard wood is used to make house-hold furniture, boat and office-decoration wood works.
2. The stem of teak tree is very hard and used to make door and windows
3. Its wood contains scented oils which is good repellent to insects.
4. Its leaves are used to make dye and astringent which good to dye the clothes.
